Strengths: Amazing! Very Quiet! Abundant amperage on all three rails. (16a +12V-a; 15a +12V-b; 40a +5v; 34a +3.3v)
Weakness: None...but do not get this for a newer system with a 24Pin MB and PCI express.
This is a great power supply. It truly is a top of the line power supply, but it is technology for current systems or upgraded systems. If you are planning to upgrade your computer to a newer motherboard that comes with 24pins, this unit is not such a great buy. Although I read somewhere that it is possible to use a 20 pin power supply to power a 24pin motherboard, I do not know its true...

I really wanted a good power supply after having cheap power supplies that comes with the case. This is truly what your money pays for: ample power, smart fan control, an dual fan. The power supply is fairly quiet and I can't really hear the noise at all. I do have one complain though. The 8cm outtake fan is way to weak, and even when I turned to max, I can hardly feel much air coming out....

This PSU has been a pleasure to work with. It's got rock-solid, powerful rails and has two +12V rails. It provides enough current over the +5V and +12V rails to power anything you throw at it. Even at the highest fan speed it's not too noisy, and it's fully adjustible. I would highly recommend this PSU to anyone building a new rig, and I will be purchasing my next PSU from ENERMAX.

This power supply provides ample cooling for my case. Fans are quiet too and keep going for a minute or so after the PC is turned off...most likely to cool interior of PC.

This is a great power supply for those who need a quiet one. Enermax did well to call this the noisetaker, and that is what it does. I can't hear it at all, even all the way up. My AC is louder.

Airflow is a little bit limited because of the cables, but this is one quiet PSU. I will be able to tell how quiet it really is once I get rid of my stock CPU fan.

I've been doing some recent upgrading and added some new hardware and thought it best that I should get more power to supply it all. I upgraded from a generic brand 350 and chose Enermax because I had heard great things from many sources. Installation was simple, the cords are a bit stiff but they are still manageable. Strengths: Very stable psu. Fans continue cooling your system after you shut down. Nearly silent. Separate 12V rails! SATA connectors and separate line for video card.
Weakness: Wish you could set the temperature control down so that the fans would speed up at cooler temps than 104 degrees. Higher fan speeds would have helped to.
You have heard probably of the term "next generation" being applied to CPUs or video cards. This is a next generation power supply. Includes power connectors for Prescott and Athlon 64 with separate 12V rails from everything else. Can you say overclocking? This is the first time I built a computer and had no problem with it. This is a good quality PSU, had 2 fans that are very quite and had SATA connectors and a lot of extra connectors. One of the unique feature is the smart fan that keep running after I turned of my computer, makes my computer cool down faster. Great Product - Highly recommended.

Enermax Noisetaker EG475P-VE SFMA ATX12V Power Supply
Strengths: Quiet, cooling one minute more after shutdown, ready for SATA harddrives
Weakness: Rather costly
The power supply is ready for new motherboard of 24 pins connector, and has adaptor for backward compatible to the old 20 pins connector motherboard. My older power supply which came with the case is also from Enermax, but it was broken after quite a few years, I think I might overdrive the 350W limit, this 470W one looks powerful and reliable, and I hope it will be.
